My name is Philippe Strübin, founder and CEO of Skillbrowser. I have been working in the IT industry since 1995. At first, I worked for different IT service providers as a system engineer and consultant and I then switched to the customer side in 2006. I am currently a Head of IT in a global company.

The search for suitable IT suppliers was always a big challenge for me and involved a lot of effort. Existing, partly older, systems have to be supported and at the same time, you are looking for new solutions and technologies. For a long time I have been looking for a platform like Skillbrowser, but unfortunately I could not find one.

The concept Skillbrowser was developed during my master thesis in “MAS Information Systems Management” at the FHNW University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland, where I asked many of my colleagues about their experiences with IT suppliers. Since there was a strong need for support in the search for skills, services and solutions, I decided to create this platform.
